Simply put, I stop beating myself up for feeling depressed. I accepted that I was depressed for a reason and that depression was causing me to do things I normally would not do. I committed to overcoming guilt by forgiving myself for the way I was feeling and acting. Then I healed.
If you feel depressed, my advice to you is to start by forgiving yourself for the way you feel. If you're depressed then I'm sure you have a reason. Sometimes life sucks and depression happens. Start by accepting your condition and be easy on yourself. This will make everything else easier.
